
WCHS principal, Matt Brooks created a distinguished alumni award to recognize WCHS alumni members for their dedication and support of the school and community.


The very first award was given to Austin Dorman, class of 2020 for his contribution and outstanding achievements in the field of agriculture and for serving as a positive role model for WCHS. Award presented 9-17-2020

WCHS Principal Matt Brooks presented 1976 WCHS Alum Jackie Nierman with the Distinguished Alumni Award September 2021. Jackie was presented the award for her numerous contributions to the Wright City School District and the Wright City community. Jackie has been very involved in the WCHS Scholarship Committee fundraiser, Blue & Gold, the WCHS Alumni Assoc., a member of the Athletic Boosters and a volunteer who makes a difference in the community.

Roland has done a lot over the years to support the youth in the Wright City and Warren County community. Whether it is through the County fair, Blue & Gold, 4H or any of the many ways he has helped children of all ages. Roland truly "Makes a Difference"

The second Distinguished Alumni Award went to Florence Blanks, class of 1966. Florence has been very active in the community and in his support of Wright City youth. He has served on the board of education, coached many basketball teams and was a founding member of the athletic boosters. Award presented February 2021

Congratulations to 1972 WCHS alum, Ardell Mikus! HS Principal Matt Brooks presented her with the "You Make A Difference Award" at January 2022 Board of Education meeting. Ardell has done a lot for the WCHS Alumni Association and been very active in the Wright City community for many years. She is a true asset to the Wright City community. Well deserved award!

Scott Harris, 1988 graduate, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from principal Matt Brooks in Feb 2023. Scott was on Wright City's final four basketball team in 1987, coached in the district for a time, and now serves as AD for Francis Howell Central. Also, Scot was awarded the AD of the year award for 2022 by the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrator's Association.
